The LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology from the University of Essex Online combines a qualifying law degree with the study of criminology, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles while examining the social, psychological, political and economic factors that influence crime and criminal justice. Delivered 100% online on a part-time basis, the programme is designed for working professionals and adult learners who require flexibility without compromising academic quality. Students develop expertise in criminal law, constitutional law, contract law, tort law, land law and criminology while building advanced legal research, analytical, advocacy and critical thinking skills. For Caribbean students, this degree offers an excellent foundation for careers within the legal profession, law enforcement, public administration, compliance, financial regulation, corrections, policy development and other justice-related fields. Graduates may also pursue further professional legal training where required by their jurisdiction, as completion of the degree alone does not confer the right to practise law.
