Programme Highlights

Students build a strong foundation in doctoral research by learning how to formulate research questions, conduct comprehensive literature reviews, evaluate scholarly work, and design rigorous research studies. This module prepares students to think critically while applying advanced academic research techniques to complex organizational challenges.

This module advances quantitative and qualitative research skills, enabling students to select appropriate research methodologies, collect data, perform statistical analysis, interpret findings, and produce evidence-based recommendations. Students also strengthen their academic writing and analytical capabilities.

Students develop a comprehensive doctoral research proposal by identifying a significant business or project management problem, reviewing existing literature, selecting appropriate research methods, and presenting a well-structured plan for their doctoral dissertation. The proposal establishes the roadmap for the remainder of the DBA journey.

This capstone research component allows students to investigate complex, real-world project management challenges within their own industries. Using the IPMA competence framework, students develop innovative solutions that contribute to both organizational performance and the global body of project management knowledge.

The doctoral thesis represents the culmination of the DBA program. Working closely with an experienced doctoral supervisor, students conduct original research that contributes new knowledge to project management theory and practice. Upon successful defense of the thesis, graduates earn the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree in Project Management.
