Procurement is an essential component of many Caribbean projects, particularly in construction, infrastructure, government, healthcare, tourism and international development. Students are introduced to planning procurement requirements so that the resources, products and services required to complete a project can be identified and managed effectively.

Risk management teaches students how to identify and manage potential threats to project success. This is especially relevant in the Caribbean, where projects may be affected by factors such as hurricanes, supply-chain disruptions, limited resources, changing regulations, financing constraints and operational challenges.

The programme ultimately focuses on moving from planning into actual project delivery. Students apply the concepts and techniques learned throughout the programme to practical project work, culminating in a Capstone Project that integrates multiple project-management tools and methods.
